National Bakery Day
It’s Official, the 1st Annual National Bakery Day is Happening Thursday, September 28th!
National Bakery Day is all about celebrating your local bakery! Community bakeries are such an important part of many family celebrations and traditions. Keeping your “dough” local helps the local economy and keeps artisanship alive. One of our owners, Beth, is the president of Retail Bakers of America (RBA). RBA is a national association for independently owned bakeries. This makes National Bakery Day an even more important event to us, so we’re going all out with our celebration! We’ll be serving free slices of cake all day, displaying a jumbo tiered cake that will be specially decorated for this event, and giving “Golden Tickets” to five lucky customers. Each Golden Ticket is worth a $100 Creative Cakes Bakery & Café gift card that can be used for anything from our store. These Golden Tickets will be hidden in five different dessert boxes. Customers can purchase any size dessert box, fill it up with our treats, and then see if their box contains a Golden Ticket inside. To hear the story of how National Bakery Day came about, listen to Beth interview John Lupo, the originator of the concept.
